Q: WHAT KIND OF COMPUTER SERVICES DOES AMCR OFFER?

A: We provide specialist, same day, onsite computer repairs, upgrades, sales, training and support to home and businesses.

Our support services cover a wide range of computer, laptop, or mac issues – just about any type of computer support our clients need. They include hardware and software repairs, system security solutions, wireless and wired networking, data backup and recovery solutions and virus/spyware prevention and removal, file servers, business network support and maintenance, business managed services, eCommerce and website design, just to name a few.

Q: HOW MUCH TIME WILL IT TAKE TO RESOLVE MY COMPUTER ISSUE?

A: With a client base of over 4,500, and over a decade of experience, there are not too many problems that we cannot quickly and easily diagnose and fix within an hour!

If your computer issue does turn out to be a little more complex, your technician will give you an estimate and get your approval before proceeding any further. That means no unexpected or hidden surprises!

To give you even greater value for money, when your issue is fixed within the minimum 1-hour service, your technician will be more than happy to spend the rest of the hour optimising your computer to help make your computer run faster, better, and more reliably, plus we can also answer any questions you may have about using your computer.

Q: HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?

A: For your total piece of mind, we never charge more than 3-hours repair labour per home computer! Our standard labour rate is $99 for the first hour, and then only $44 per additional half-hour block. We cap all home computer labour charges at $275 (including GST).

If your computer has been pre-configured and can be repaired using our ‘AMCR Express PC Repair System’, then you only have to pay a flat capped fee of $149 to have your computer fully repaired!

All Capped Labour Charges exclude parts, extensive data backup and/or recovery, industry specific software, accounting software, servers, networks, or tuition.

Q: WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?

A: Payment is to be made in full to your technician at the end of the service. For your convenience, we happily accept payment by cash, cheque, direct deposit, Visa or MasterCard. Please note that credit cards incur a small 2% bank surcharge.

Approved business clients can apply for an account with credit terms.

Q: DO YOU GUARANTEE YOU WILL NOT LOSE MY IMPORTANT FILES, DOCUMENTS, OR PHOTOS?

A: Yes. We will never wipe your hard drive unless you have a complete backup of your files first.

It is important to note though, that it is your responsibility to ensure that you have a current and working backup of your important files at all times. This will also help ensure you’re never at risk against unexpected hardware failure, hard drive crash, power surges, lightning strikes, theft, vandalism, fire, floods, computer virus infections, data corruption or accidental deletion.

If you don’t currently have a backup system, please ask your technician and they will more than happy to help.

Q: DOES AMCR GUARANTEE THEIR WORK?

A: Absolutely! We guarantee our technical expertise – in the event that our technician is unable to fix or diagnose your primary problem or issue because they do not have the technical expertise to do so, then there is no charge for the service and you will get a voucher to get your tune-up and service absolutely free using our Remote Support Service (Valued at $99)! However, if they diagnose a faulty component which needs to be replaced and you choose not to proceed or decide to source the parts elsewhere, normal charges do apply.

We stand behind our service. If you notify us of a problem with the services you were provided, and our diagnosis of the problem indicates that our services were not performed satisfactorily, we will work to provide a solution to your problem quickly and at no additional cost to you. Please contact us on 1300 4 PC HELP (1300 472 435) as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to rectify the issue free of charge. Naturally, if the issue you’re experiencing is unrelated to the service we provided, normal charges will apply.

Q: WHAT IF I WANT HAVE TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY SERVICE WITH AMCR?

A: No worries at all! We completely understand that things can just come up. All you need to do is call our customer service line on 1300 4 PC HELP (1300 472 435) at least four (4) hours before your scheduled appointment time and let us know!

A: You most certainly can! We can build you a brand new computer, tailor made to suite your needs, and your budget. All of our computers come with genuine software, and a full onsite warranty by the technician who actually built your computer!
